Today, we’re kicking off a brand new series of posts here at Cultura de Algibeira! Every Saturday, we’ll be sharing music lists that we think are part of iconic characters’ or personalities’ playlists. To get things started, what better way than to imagine the tunes that the richest cartoon character listens to in his daily life? And who is he? Uncle Scrooge, of course! We’re starting with the most obvious choice: Uncle Scrooge’s own theme song! If there were a series about his adventures around the world, this opening song would definitely be something he’d never get tired of listening to. After all, this tune represents his life of adventure and treasure hunting perfectly! It had to be included.

Now, who would’ve thought Uncle Scrooge would be listening to Naughty by Nature? Well, he’s got every right to identify with this song, which talks about the power of money. We already know Uncle Scrooge loves a good fortune, and this lyric definitely resonates with him!

Another song that would probably make it to Uncle Scrooge’s playlist! This tune is related to the Beagle Boys, always trying to steal Uncle Scrooge’s money. However, what Uncle Scrooge loves is that, despite their attempts, the villains never succeed. A song to keep him calm!

To wrap things up, an unusual choice! This Russian classic, also known as “Trololo,” is an internet meme, but we imagine the richest duck in the world would love it. The song conveys a sense of happiness and satisfaction, and what’s better than thinking of Uncle Scrooge entering his vault, surrounded by coins, and singing “I’m happy to finally be back home”? A laid-back tune to celebrate his empire.
